this is not an april fools joke (well most of it)

Serious, non-April Fool's content begins here

Hello guys. It's me, JG. First of all, I want to say thank you so much for continuing to stick around and waiting for the astronomically rare update. I'm glad that I haven't suffered any fan loss in the 10-month gap between updates, to be honest.

However, I must bring you bad news, and that's something I really don't like saying.

I may or may not cancel this comic.

The old laptop I used to begin the Nuzlocke run and the comic has gone to shit, and I'm not allowed to play video games on my new laptop which I am currently using. And it's not like I have a Game Boy lying around somewhere in my house, so I can't really continue the adventure without gameplay.

I could just make up the story as I go along, but there's another issue- school.

School has been the reason for the hiatuses along the way, and it just might be the reason for the cancellation. Now that I'm in 9th grade, things have changed. The classes are harder and are stuffed with more homework, I have to practice for the SAT and other stuff for me to get to a quality college, and, well, more stuff for my future. I guess most of you wouldn't know since the majority of my fans are within my age group.

But yeah, I just have no time and motivation to continue this little old comic anymore. I know it's sad to do such a thing, but it's either cancelling the comic and getting it over with, or just letting an unfinished comic lay around the web. And I guess the first option is better.

So yeah. MFN may or may not die.

Serious, non-April Fool's content ends here

In other news, though, I'm thinking of starting a serious, better-drawn comic for SJ in the near future! It could happen this year, or the next, depending on the work and dedication I need for school. (There's that word- school.)

I have no idea what it'll be about, but I do have a thought on it being like Slam Dunk, a manga I recently discovered and found to be one of the best manga I've read. Besides that, it's really just in blank space right now, but I'll get there.

I sure hope this wasn't very disappointing or anything. Get hyped for the new comic in the far future, I guess.

Cheers!

-JG

avatar Well, I mean sometimes you've gotta let things go. Things do get tougher as you get older and as a result you might lose interest and time for things you used to enjoy doing.

Maybe one day you could eventually revisit the idea if you actually cancel it for good.

Regardless of what decision you ultimately make, I'm here to support it.

avatar I'm still supporting you! Webcomic-ing can get a bit hard with outside distractions, and its good you're putting your health first!

avatar It was a good run, and a good way to start on this site
